different levels of excellence

there must be different levels of excellence for one simple thing - my flatmate must at a much higher level of excellence when cleaning is concerned. Although I've spent 1.5 hours cleaning the common place (kitchen and toilet in total 4 squre metres) using 5 different kinds of chemical stuff plus water and vaccum cleaner, but I still received a note afterwards saying that "Wing, I am not sure how far you've gone with the cleaning but please clean the table around the sink and clean the floor of the kitchen using vaccum cleaner and soup and water, see you!"....

This is just rediculous! but I still try to put up to her standard, so I started again! I mean I've did exactly what she wrote fully on an A4 paper giving instruction on "how to clean (that 4 squre metres space)" but it is obviously not good enough. After another half an hour hard work, the table still looks the same with a bit white shadow which I don't know coming from when in the history and it just stayed there no matter how hard I applied the chemical cleasing stuff... and actually you can only see it when you come to a certain perfect angle!

Okay, I just can't take this anymore, I've tried my best, and to be honest, I am a really responsible person when it comes to cleaning, but if I am forced to reach a level of excellence that I could not climb up to, I'd give up and do something else more usuful, like looking for a job in Germany for this summer...

Let her clean it if it`s not good enough for her!
You sound like you've worked hard!

Dear, I thought you went to Denmark for running AIESEC, not being a maid! Just forget about it! It would get dirty again anyway. :P

Haha~

Actually, I thought I was a very neat person, until I had my current housemate ;)

Sometimes it's not about the standards, it's about how people treat themselves and others. Remember a chinese saying: "Be strict to yourself and be tolarent to others" (Yan Yu Lv Ji, Kuan Yi Dai Ren), which I always try to follow or use to console myself sometimes. However, certainly some people never do that, or even do the reverse.

Take it easy! ;)
